Miracle Lane Farm and Sanctuary has been serving the community for about 3 years. We started as a small volunteer-run organization and are in the process of expanding. Our dedication to the well-being of animals is what drives us every day.
Meet Our NYC Foster Dog Program!
Our Purpose
Miracle Lane Farm & Sanctuary’s NYC ACC Pilot Program focuses on saving dogs most at risk of euthanasia from Animal Care Centers of NYC by placing them into structured foster homes in Maine and the Northeast.
These dogs often struggle in high-stress shelter environments despite being highly adoptable in a home setting. Through this pilot, we carefully select dogs who need decompression, behavioral support, or medical follow-up and place them into foster homes that follow clear, written care and transition plans.
The program emphasizes:
- Thoughtful foster placement and matching
- Decompression and stability outside the shelter
- Force-free, supported behavioral and medical care
- Close monitoring, communication, and accountability
By moving dogs directly from NYC ACC into foster homes rather than prolonged shelter stays, this pilot program reduces kennel stress, improves outcomes, and gives dogs a real chance to succeed and move on to permanent homes.
